CONTACT: Chief Executive Officer

Since its founding in 1882, the Children's Home of Stockton has relied greatly on the support and goodwill of the community. Reliance on community support and the private sectors generosity continues to be a crucial element in providing the best possible services to children. Currently, less than eighty-percent (80%) of the CHS budget is financed through state and county funds. Thus, Children's Home must raise a minimum of twenty-percent (20%) of its annual operating budget from other sources, primarily through grants, fundraising activities and the contributions of both individuals and businesses.

Our primary funding sources consisting of various school districts through San Joaquin County, various counties throughout California, and San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services, continue to fund the most basic services, which do not include "extras", such as recreational opportunities, books for our library, science materials, arts and craft supplies or other beneficial childhood necessities. We must therefore continue to seek alternative methods of funding to enhance the learning environment. Donors have a significant impact on enhancing the lives of the children in the mist fundamental ways.

As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, CHS relies on individual businesses and other organizations to contribute unrestricted, restricted, and in-kind gifts and services.
